All women who undergo routine mammograms at Crystal Clear Imaging now have the latest diagnostic technology available to them: Digital Mammography.
Crystal Clear was the first healthcare provider in the Springfield, Ohio area to feature this state-of-the-art system, the Selenia™ Digital Mammography from Hologic®.
Digital mammography is different from conventional mammography in how the image of the breast is viewed.
The radiologist can magnify the images, increase or decrease the contrast and evaluate microcalcifications and focus on areas of concern to provide the best service to you.
To supplement this technology, Crystal Clear Imaging has incorporated digital Computer Aided Detection (CAD), the first of its kind in Springfield. Digital CAD highlights characteristics commonly associated with breast cancer. When activated, it flags abnormalities to help the radiologist detect early breast cancer. CAD is, in essence, a second set of eyes to support and enhance the radiologist's judgment.

Digital mammography feels identical to conventional screening from a patient's perspective, though women may notice shorter exam times and reduction in call-backs to obtain additional images. Demand for the digital mammography is high, and women are excited and pleased that Crystal Clear Imaging offers this state-of-the-art technology.

Crystal Clear Imaging announces the installation of the Siemen's Espree, a unique Open Bore MRI which offers a spacious 30-cm of space above the patient's face, a 70-cm inner diameter, as well as a 550-lb capacity patient table - all of which provides a more comfortable, relaxed environment. More space means less anxiety, and Crystal Clear's Open Bore MRI provides optimal patient comfort.
The patient's head remains outside the magnet in many exams, encouraging a feeling of spaciousness, and relaxing claustrophobic tensions. Patients will also appreciate the quick examination times due to the advanced technology this new Open Bore MRI offers. But most of all, physicians appreciate the more accurate and confident diagnosis for their patients.
